How to use the Cheesebase Search Form
All the searches are case-insensitive, except as noted below. The search
string is treated as a Perl-style regular expression.
There are three choices on the Cheesebase search form:
- Venue - searches the locations at which the band has played, both the
venue name itself and the city and state (and country if outside the US).
For the special case of a search term consisting of 2 capital letters, the
search is not case insensitive, so you can list all shows which are in a
given state by using the two letter, capitalized, US Postal code for the
state.
Clicking on the date of a show will link you to the set list for that show.
Examples Enter fillmore to get a list of all shows played at the
Fillmore Auditorium. Enter francisco to get a list of all shows played in
San Francisco. Enter CO for a list of all shows played in Colorado
- Songs - searches the String Cheese Incident Song
List for all song titles which are matched by the supplied string.
Clicking on a song title will link you to the every
time played page for that song.
Example Enter blue to get a list of all song titles containing
the string blue.
- Notes - searches the extra notes which are stored with some setlists. When
you look at the setlists, you will notice that for some shows there are
notes at the bottom of the list, specifying outside guests who played along
with the band, birthday celebrations, other bands playing on the same card,
etc. Searching the notes will find every show for which a note contained the
string you specify.
Clicking on the date of a show will link you to the set list for that show.
Example Enter anger to get a list of all shows that Darol Anger
joined the band onstage.
